Meet Vera
I was born and raised in Toronto. For 27+ years I have lived in Richmond Hill, ward 5.
I am married with 4 children. In the last 3 decades, my family and I have been actively
involved in church and community events. Richmond Hill is an amazing city but it has
not achieved that higher standard of living, especially when compared to other GTA cities.
I am a York University alumnus with a ...
BA in Business Administration
BA Specialized Honours in Humanities
Completing a Master's Degree in Social and Political Thought
I am a registered Real Estate Broker with extensive knowledge on home
acquisitions, working closely with buyers/sellers, reviewing contracts and
ensuring legal compliance with specialized expertise to cut through red tape.
I am a constant learner with a passion for continued education.
My academic interests include: Business and Research, History,
Anthropology, Indigenous Studies, Religious Studies, AI and Art.
Council needs responsible, transparent, and hard working individuals to
shape our city into a sustainable, vibrant community, a place where people
want to live, work, and play, a city that moves with its citizens.
A councillor should have qualifications to understand and administer:
Financial responsibility
Budget reports
Political administration
City architectural plans
Working with board/committee members
Bringing my educational background and experience to council, I will actively represent your
voices to give back to my community, serving citizens with care and dedication.
Your tax dollars deserve to be spent well. Allow me to stand up for your hard-earned money.

As an active community member, my experience includes volunteering and
serving on boards both in an academic institution and with local organizations:
Candidate, Ward 5 Councillor, 2022 Richmond Hill municipal election
Campaign Financial Agent, Richmond Hill Riding Association
Treasurer, York University Staff Association
Chair, Constitution and Policy Committee, YUSA
Volunteer, Walk for Poverty
Program Coordinator, CIBC Run for the Cure
Chair and Vice-Chair, Parent Council, St. Theresa High School
I am currently an active volunteer visiting Retirement and Nursing Homes in
Richmond Hill. Speaking with elders is incredibly enlightening and rewarding.
They have many stories to tell, offering valuable wisdom and providing us with
a historical perspective, life lessons that help shape our own personal growth.
I am honoured to serve our city's elders.
Every resident has a right to be heard, deserves a councillor who listens, asks
questions, researches cost implications and financial impact on your dollar, a
councillor who follows through with the concerns and issues challenging Ward 5 residents.
I am your neighbour who listens and a leader who will deliver.
